Red team
DESCRIPTION
Service that consists of the execution of multiple technical security tests with the aim of checking if an organization is prepared to respond to a cybersecurity incident. These tests are usually very specific and also unexpected for organizations since in this way they allow to correctly evaluate how the response of said organization would be to a cybersecurity attack.
WHY IT´S IMPORTANT?
It is good practice to test the effectiveness of controls applied to an organization’s security, as well as its ability to respond to cybersecurity incidents. A test in “Red Team” mode gives visibility to the organization on the improvements that must be made in its network, its applications, its physical security, etc. since they are tests that are carried out as a malicious attacker would.
