CASB
DESCRIPTION
From the acronym in English Cloud Access Security Broker, it is a point of imposition of security policies, either on-premises or in the cloud, located between consumers of cloud services and cloud service providers, whose purpose is to combine and interpose corporate security policies when accessing cloud resources. Simply put, the CASB is like a policeman who enforces the laws established by the administrators of the cloud service.
WHY IT´S IMPORTANT?
Due to the ongoing migration of on-premises services to the cloud, maintaining visibility and control in these environments is essential to meeting compliance requirements, protecting your business from attacks, and enabling your employees to use cloud services securely without presenting additional high risk to your business.
