- Windows Troubleshooting: Required: At least 2 years experience.
- Network Troubleshooting: Required: At least 4 years experience.
- Applied Knowledge of Networking, Routers, Switches, Hubs: Required: At least 3 years experience.
- Applied Knowledge of TCP/IP, Required: At least 4-5 years experience.
- Knowledge of UNIX, Required At least 3 - 4 years experience.
- Knowledge of SQL, Required: Basic knowledge . Required 2 year experience.
- Customer Support: Required At least three year experience.
- Applied Knowledge of Firewalls and VPNs: Preferred At least 1 year experience.
· Must have:
• Passion for customer care and customer satisfaction. Previous experience in a customer facing support role is required; preferably in a support role with a minimum of 5 years experience.
• A successful track record in developing and managing customer relationships.
• Five-plus years experience in enterprise network infrastructure implementation and support, with hands on experience including: routers, switches, firewalls, network services, NMS, proxy servers, intrusion detection/prevention systems and/or vulnerability scanners.
• A strong administration experience of various flavours of Linux.
• A strong knowledge of network hardware and software configurations, with the ability to scope the problems and issues that are specific to large enterprise networks.
• A strong knowledge of network security management tools, issues, policies, and procedures, particularly as they relate to business practices and guidelines.
• Ability to anticipate the effects of network security issues and trends
• Software programming skills: C/C++/Perl and other scripting languages.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot JAVA-based applications.
• Strong communication skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects and timelines simultaneously.
• Ability to pay a high degree of attention to quality, detail, and accuracy along with the ability to meet deadlines and project milestones.
• Ability to write effective memos, reports, and related documentation
• Independent, proactive, and an excellent team player.
• Must be able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
